Reminders
*Thursday, December 15th the Holiday Concert will be held at the Activity Center. Concert starts at 6:30. Please have your child at the Activity Center at 5:45.
*We will be making gingerbread houses Tuesday, December 20th. I will supply the frame of the house made of graham crackers. We will need a lot of candy and frosting to complete the houses. We will need the following:
Spice drops
Chocolate chips
White frosting
Red hots
Vanilla frosting
Small candy canes
Skittles
Miniature marshmallows
Starlight mints (red or green)
Flaked coconut
-If you would like to help you child decorate their gingerbread house feel free to come in at 1:00. We will be exchanging gifts before we make our gingerbread houses.

Our school library will be having a Book Fair during the week of conferences. I will also be sending home a book order. This will be a good opportunity to buy an affordable book. If you are unable to provide a book please contact me at 295-4321 or hanacoy@gmail.com.

Hello, I am Hanna and last night was Halloween and I was a vampire. I went to a party. It was fun. I went trick or treating after the party. I like Halloween.

OPEN HOUSE
Parents,
This is a reminder that our class will not be having open house Thursday, September 15th. Our classroom open house will be rescheduled for Monday, September 19th from 3:30-5:30. Your child will be able to take you around the room and show you what we have been learning and doing. It will probably take 10-20 minutes.
I hope to get the chance to talk to each of you. If you have any questions about your child or our program please bring them with you. Hope to see you then.

Welcome to Second Grade!!!!!
I am so excited about school starting. I have some fantastic new things for us to do together. The year will be filled with love, laughter, and learning. It will be great to see everyone become even better readers and writers in second grade!
You will need 24 crayons, 48 #2 pencils, 12 colored pencils, 4 black expo markers, 4 large pink erasers, scissors, backpack, and 10 markers, 2 large boxes of tissue, headphones, and 2 large glue sticks. Our desks are not big enough for other supplies sorry. Hot lunches will be $1.50 a day or you can bring a sack lunch from home. Do you know what bus you ride or are you a walker?

Morrison News
PENNIES FOR PETER
Peter Herrera is a bright, sweet Kindergarten student in Ms. Goodwin’s class @ Morrison Elementary. Peter has been recently diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. He is currently being treated at Sacred Heart Children’s Hospital in Spokane, WA. Morrison Elementary is raising money to help Peter’s family with expenses: commuting, lodging, and medical.
Donations can be made at the elementary office or the high school office.
The 6th grade class is having a bake sale on Thursday, April 21st during afternoon recess. They are raising money for the annual 6th grade trip to Silverwood. 10% of the proceeds will be donated to the Pennies for Peter fund.
The 5th Annual Morrison School Talent Show Family Night will be this Thursday in the gym. The New Horizons students will be serving free homemade tacos, enchiladas, cake and juice starting at 5:30. The talent show will begin around 6:30 and last about 90 minutes. All students/families are invited to come and cheer for your classmates. The final list of who will be in the talent show will be posted on the wall outside Ms Higgins’ office on Wednesday. All students in the show should be there by 6:00 pm to check in.
Bryan Bowers Singer/Songwriter & Master Auto harpist Extraordinaire will perform in an Assembly for the Morrison Student Body on Friday, April 22nd @ 1:15 pm in the gym.
The annual Egg Drop contest is scheduled for Friday, April 29th. Details, details, details will be sent home next week!
The Elementary Track Meet is scheduled for Thursday, May 12th.
A Children of Divorce support group is being formed at W.F. Morrison Elementary for students in grades 2-4. The group is open to children who have recently experienced parental separation or to those who still struggle with internal conflict about the changes separation has brought. A permission slip that further explains the group is being sent home with your student. If you do not receive one, please contact Mr. Lieser either by phone
(406-295-4321) or email (mr.lieser@gmail.com). This group is entirely voluntary and is meant only to help students cope with these difficult changes
